Synthetic paper that will last for years, flexible like paper

If we resemble each other in a way or two, I'm sure that you've spilled your coffee or orange juice on top of the paper pile that definitely didn't need it.... Plastic synthetic paper prints come very handy on those occasions

This synthetic plastic paper can be used for regular copies, for labels (pressure sensitive), menus, outdoor surveys, signage, outdoor training manuals and more uses.

These plastics are pretty special, because on top of being high quality sheets, they must go through a process that makes them ready to be printed through digital and laser ways.

It is usually made out polyester or PVC in a weight range that goes from 4 mil to 16 mil, covering the "text" and "cover" weights.

The best binding system for synthetic paper booklets:Coil binding and wire-o are the options that we offer for synthetic paper.

this picture shows some of the uses for synthetic plastic paper. As an example a picture of a menu can be seen, and water drops on top of it are show. The menu won't get damaged by the water because the substrate is plastic
Observe in the picture that the menu has drops of water on top of it, and because synthetic plastic paper has been used to print this menu, it remains in perfect shape.

How does the cost of printing on Synthetic Plastic Paper compare to that of printing using other methods.

Plastic papers in nature are expensive. The plastic sheets must be produce in very precise plastic extrusion equipment, and later coated with chemicals that allow for inks and toners to adhere to them.
Whenever plastic paper replaces other types of conventional printing, it is because the post-printing process is too complex or way more expensive than the use of synthetic papers. Lamination is usually the process that can be avoided.

FAQ / Frequently asked questions about booklet printing, Q and A:

Question - Is coil binding used for booklet printing?

Answer - Yes. Coil Binding is made with a plastic spiral that goes through the holes drilled on the sheets. It is lightweight and inexpensive.

Coil binding is the perfect solution when you have a document with a number of sides that is not multiple of 4, or a document that will require revisions and even replacement of sheets without the need to reprint the whole piece. (Sheet replacement must be usually done at a specialized shop that has the right equipment).
This method is very comfortable for training manuals and documents, especially when notes need to be taken (e.g.. specific areas are fill-in-the-blank areas).

Advantages: Folds back and lays flat for extra support and easier use. The method is fast and economical

Disadvantages: It is not the best system when long term document preservation is needed. It is easy to tear sheets out

Question - I need a weather-proof booklet. How should I bind it?

Answer -Weather Proof Booklets also known as Plastic Paper Booklets: On special occasions, the manuals or booklets must be weatherproof, which means that the substrate that they are printed on must resist outdoor use, which includes the use under moisture and dirty environments.

There is "plastic-paper" that is weather resistant, lends itself for wiping and is great for outdoor training documents such as field-installation manuals, etc. The most recommended binding methods for this substrate are coil binding and wire-o binding

Question - What stock is it usually used for the covers?

Answer - Depending on the binding method, sometimes a clear plastic cover and a black plastic back cover are used. Other times booklets are "self-cover" meaning that the cover sheets are of the same nature as the paper used for the inside of the publication. On other occasions, the covers can be printed on cover stock, that is available on different thicknesses.

Question - What stock is it usually used for the the inside of the booklets?

Answer - The most common paper used is 20# paper, which is an entry level paper, sometimes known as copy paper. It is not very bright, and certainly not very opaque. Depending on the expected use of the booklet, other options are available: E.g.. opaque papers, glossy or colored papers.
