About the stickers

The backings extend beyond the sticker itself, and come in standard shapes: circle, oval, rectangle or square. 

The stickers are easy to peel. Because during manufacturing we cut to shape the sticker itself but not the backing material (which gives this process the name of kiss cutting) which says intact. Therefore the removal of the sticker becomes very easy. There is no need of any tools or skills to separate the sticker from the backing.

The backing protects delicate designs and gives you space to print more information about the artist or company. The backing also gives you the opportunity to cut the stickers in a shape other than the traditional rectangle. This makes your stickers unique and allows you to show off your design.

Kiss-Cut stickers have a variety of uses:

Personalized packaging, and short-run packaging are probably the most popular. You can apply customized stickers to bottles, boxes, food, etc. Other uses include greeting cards, scrapbooking, crafts, decorating coffee mugs, packaging, and applying stickers on windows.
You can also use them to display your artwork on the cover of your laptop or office, to decorate your car or build a memory.

Bleed or white borders around your sticker.

Sometimes you might want your label to bleed, but many other times, a white border. A white border helps to separate the label from the substrate, driving more interest to the design of the sticker itself.

Designing your kiss cut sticker:

When designing your kiss cut sticker, you have to decide which of both concepts works better for your project: 

1 - Fully customized stickers: You can design the entire sticker and the kiss cut line, which leads to a totally personalized piece. Your imagination is the limit.
or 
2 - Use standard shapes and sizes: Design the content of the label using the fixed dimensions of a label sheet that already has the kiss cut shapes already in it. In this case you would print your design on the exact place on the sticker sheet where the cuts are.
Printing on pre-cut label sheets restricts you to the commonly available shapes and the standard sizes that are manufactured. Examples would be 1" diameter circles, 4"x2" shipping labels, 3"x3" square labels, etc.

Creating the kiss-cut lines and files:

Designing kiss-cut stickers can be tricky, but it is a great way to personalize and add a bit of flair to your designs.
