Kinkos Locations

Looking for Kinkos Locations?
You've been at Kinkos before — your presentation had to be printed right away, so you went there early in the morning or even at dawn (some of their stores were open 24 hours) to have your work done. You had to be there to manage the whole process in person.
That has changed for two reasons:
- Kinkos no longer exists in most of the world. Kinkos was acquired by FedEx in 2004 and the brand was retired by 2008. All Kinkos stores either closed or became FedEx Office locations.
- Online printing changed the game. You can now place orders for copies, posters, banners, or booklets from your office, home, or hotel — without visiting a store. Online print jobs are handled by a professional team, often at lower prices than walk-in shops, and shipped directly to you.
Did You Know? Kinko's Still Exists — in Japan
While the Kinko's name vanished from American storefronts in 2008, the brand lives on across the Pacific. When FedEx pulled out of the Japanese market during the Great Recession, Konica Minolta acquired FedEx Kinko's Japan in 2012 along with all 61 of its printing locations. The company was renamed Kinko's Japan Co., Ltd. and continues to operate as a full-service on-demand printing business with stores throughout the country.
Today, Kinko's Japan offers many of the same services that made the original Kinko's popular in the U.S. — copies, posters, business cards, booklet binding, and large format printing — all under the familiar Kinko's name paired with Konica Minolta's printing technology. You can visit their website at kinkos.co.jp.
Konica Minolta also purchased the South Korean Kinko's operations separately in 2013. So while Kinko's is gone in America, the brand that Paul Orfalea started with a sidewalk copy machine in 1970 is still going strong on the other side of the world.
