Can I use cheaper USPS Marketing Mail rates for my 9" × 12" envelopes?

Sometimes — but only for non-personalized promotional content in bulk (minimum 200 pieces). USPS Marketing Mail cannot be used for personalized transactional content such as invoices, statements, bills, contracts, account notices, or medical records. If your mailing contains account numbers, dollar amounts, or personal financial information, USPS requires First-Class Mail, not Marketing Mail. When in doubt, ask us before you order.

Are your 9" × 12" envelopes HIPAA compliant for mailing medical records?

Our standard 9" × 12" envelopes are printed on 28 lb white wove stock and are not sold as HIPAA-compliant medical envelopes. If your project requires HIPAA-compliant envelopes — such as opaque security-tint stock or tamper-evident closures — contact us directly and we can source specialty medical and privacy envelopes for your project.

What's the difference between a booklet envelope and a catalog envelope?

Booklet envelopes open on the long (12") side, like a book. Catalog envelopes open on the short (9") side, loaded from the top. Both are 9" × 12" externally — pick whichever matches how you want the recipient to pull your document out.

Will an 8.5" × 11" document fit flat in a 9" × 12" envelope?

Yes, that's exactly what these envelopes are designed for. The half-inch of space on each side gives you enough room to slide a letter-size document in cleanly without bending the corners.

Is a 9" × 12" envelope the same as a #12 envelope?

No. A 9" × 12" envelope is a large flat envelope that holds letter-size documents unfolded, measuring 9 inches by 12 inches. A #12 envelope is a small business envelope measuring 4-3/4" × 11", used for longer letters or mailing invoices. They are completely different sizes for completely different purposes.

What is the minimum order?
